Melissa King is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.She is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she studied eastern and western nutrition, and modern health counseling.

In her practice, Melissa helps her clients become more comfortable around whole foods (“real” food) and teaches them how to acknowledge what their body’s unique needs are. Utilizing a non-judgmental approach, she integrates the whole person (i.e., lifestyle, relationships, career, etc.) with the goal of bringing these into balance. She has helped clients to overcome weight issues, improve energy levels, increase their sense of well-being, and alleviate symptoms of specific

illnesses and disorders. She is most passionate about helping individuals strengthen their self-image and become comfortable with their body. Melissa also leads seminars and workshops throughout the city. Topics have included: “Women’s Health Concerns,” “The Top Ten Changes To Your Food Choices For Better Health,” “Deconstructing Sugar Cravings,” “Improving Immune Function” and “Nutrition for the Dancer.” She has spoken at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Healthy Pleasures, New York Herpes Recovery, and Earth Matters.

Melissa strongly believes that giving your body what it needs through whole foods, whole nutrition, and self-value brings healing to mind, body, and emotions. Her clients conclude the program with a transformed self-image, more fulfillment in life, and strength in their body through learning to eat well and breaking through life blocks
